I mean, whales are really hard to fathom (no pun intended) as it is, and I've always thought having Ishmael name him "Dick" was a little inappropriate. Replacing that with my name made me feel like a part of|About the Author|Herman Melville (1819-1891) was an American author best known for his classic novel Moby Dick. Herdan Melcow is the pen name used by a fellow best known for his desire to enrage Dan.

This book is identical to Herman Melville’s 1851 masterpiece Moby Dick; or, The Whale, except with the following changes made:

1. "Moby Dick" has been replaced with "Moby Dan."
2. "Whale" has been replaced with "Ocean Mega-Cow."
3. "Whaling" has been replaced with "poking at portly porpoises with a pointy pole."

This is an attempt to enrage (Moby) Dan, who adores classic literature and ought to hate seeing it butchered in this way.
